Mark Estep

Mark Estep is the founder of WaveOne Associates and has over 30 years of experience helping diverse companies to simplify work, align technology and build the teamwork and discipline needed to quickly understand and effectively respond to evolving challenges.  He started with running global logistics in the military, and leveraged that experience along with training in lean manufacturing, six sigma, and change management to lead product and plant turnarounds and corporate global performance improvement programs at Fortune 100 companies in the Aerospace, Financial Services, Information Technology, Shared Business Services, and Pharmaceutical industries.  Mark’s core belief is that nothing is impossible. Regardless of the pace of change, business complexity, operational or market “challenges,” new levels of performance are within reach. He is a Lean Expert, Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt, and Change Agent with the “battlescars” from leading hundreds of projects and multiple deployments at companies ranging in size from $1.5B to $20B.   This experience has given him a strong appreciation for how to balance the speed of operational improvements with the changes in mindsets and behaviors required for organizational adoption.

David Discenza

David Discenza, CBCP, president of Discenza Business Continuity Solutions, has been involved in business continuity planning since 2009. He was the business continuity manager for the Risk & Information Management (RIM) group within American Express. His responsibilities included the development, maintenance and testing of their business continuity plan. He was also responsible for creating the emergency communication strategy for the RIM organization. David works with companies in Philadelphia, New York City, Washington, DC, Baltimore, Connecticut, and nationwide to help them formulate plans they can implement when an unexpected business interruption occurs. He does this by helping his clients identify risks they have not mitigated, including determining the financial impact of a loss of business functions, improving cybersecurity strategies and tactics, and prioritizing the order in which business functions need to be restored. David is a graduate of Boston College and Indiana State University. He has extensive experience working with major US corporations including General Electric, American Express, and CIGNA Healthcare. He has worked with businesses across industries in the Mid-Atlantic region to create their new business continuity plan and even provides a FREE template to identify business vulnerabilities and resilience. Often a presenter at professional conferences, workshops, and symposiums, David is certified as a Business Continuity Planner by the Disaster Recovery Institute International.

Bruce Pashko

Bruce Pashko is a passionate global leader with 35 years of experience working at Johnson & Johnson within Information Technology and Compliance. He has built and led global teams & global projects across all areas of J&Js businesses.  He has had experience with infrastructure, application development & support, cloud computing, SaaS, vendor management and outsourcing as well as internal global shared service organizations.  Bruce also has many years of experience in various compliance areas have run two Centers of Excellence within J&J. Regardless if it was supporting existing regulations or dealing with new ones, Bruce has successfully managed positive outcomes.  Bruce is a strong believer in continuous improvement and has been engaged in many re-engineering, re-structuring, re-organizing and other transformational programs to improve process, technology and people to gain competitive advantage to deliver business value.  Bruce’s strong collaboration skills allow him to build strong partnerships across business functions to identify and implement real solutions to real problems.  Bruce is passionate about talent development and has many years of experience recruiting, mentoring, coaching and managing college co-ops/recruits and integrating them into more mature teams.  He currently uses all of these skills as a full-time consultant at a software development company which services the healthcare industry and as an adjunct professor at Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA.
